Europe Center summer course – the “building up phase” begins!

Watch this high-speed coverage of the construction of the main tent where the teachings will take place during the Third International Summer Course will at the Europe Center. From 3-15 August, several thousand people will come to the Alps in southern Germany to learn the practice of Phowa and receive Buddhist teachings from Lama Ole Nydahl.

Many of the UK sangha are already packing their tents and camping equipment ready to set off for Bavaria! We’re very excited about the course, especially the “Transmission Days” with Lama Ole. From 8-15 August, the Transmission Days promise to be a major highlight in Lama Ole’s program for the year, a truly historical event. A timeline will provide a general framework to guide the sessions, and the idea is to not only hear great stories, but also to come to a deeper understanding about how and why we do what we do today in our practice and in our centers: what  transmission is, how it came through to Hannah and Lama Ole, and has developed in the West year by year is what we will focus on. Time periods to be covered are 1970s, ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s.

If you’re thinking of coming, don’t forget to register online.
